When creating a TRON WALLET account, you will be prompted to back up 12 words. These 12 words are your account's mnemonic phrase, which is equivalent to your "private key." Whoever possesses these 12 words owns the coins in that account. The importance is self-evident. The 12 words are for your own safekeeping, and once lost, they cannot be recovered.
What should be noted about the safekeeping of mnemonic phrases?
1. It is best to copy the mnemonic phrase onto paper or other cold storage media (such as a cold storage mnemonic board), ensuring it is written correctly and clearly. Keep it in a very safe place at home. The mnemonic phrase should not be stored by taking a photo with a mobile phone, using computer software, email, cloud storage, or saved in WeChat collections.

2. Verify the mnemonic phrase: Both new and old users need to verify the correctness of their backed-up mnemonic phrase in the "Home - Me - Wallet Settings - Verify Mnemonic Phrase" section. If you find that you have not backed up or have lost your backup, please go to "Home - Me - Wallet Management - Display Mnemonic Phrase," view the mnemonic phrase, and back it up. Only by ensuring that you have backed up the correct mnemonic phrase can the account continue to be used.

3. For accounts installed with TRON WALLET, do not arbitrarily clear TRON WALLET data, do not perform a factory reset, do not arbitrarily uninstall the TRON WALLET wallet, and do not format your phone. If there are coins in your TRON WALLET account, be even more cautious!

4. Do not disclose the mnemonic phrase to anyone, and do not expose your mnemonic phrase in any online media! If your mnemonic phrase is exposed, do not store any more coins in the account! Anyone who asks for your mnemonic phrase is a scammer!

[Seriousness!!!]

If the mnemonic phrase is lost, backed up incorrectly, if you mistakenly uninstall TRON WALLET, or if the phone with TRON WALLET installed is lost, it will be impossible to recover the coins in the wallet. In simple terms, if the coins are lost, they cannot be recovered!

If the mnemonic phrase is leaked and obtained by someone else, there is a significant risk that they may transfer your coins away. Bitcoin has the characteristics of being irreversible and anonymous, and once the coins are transferred, the possibility of recovery is almost zero!
